beauty. loreal paradise extatic

If I had to pick only one piece of makeup I could use for the rest of my life, it would be mascara. Aside from making you look awake, it immediately makes you look pretty as a picture! For a long time I’ve used the same mascara, and only occasionally dabbled with other options. I know I’ve written about it approximately 132 times, but Loreal Volume Million Lashes is my ride or die. Mine ran out the other day, so I thought I would live life on the edge and try something new. Loreal Lash Paradise had some major repping when it came out, and the way other people have described it sounds like a bit of me. IMG_9909IMG_9881For some strange reason this mascara is called Lash Paradise is some countries, and Paradise Extatic in others, but it is most definitely the same product. It retails at NZ$26.99, so compared with my normal mascara at NZ$32.99, I’m chuffed. IMG_9914The brush has a curved design which is wider at the top and bottom. I’m not really sure what the purpose of that is, but it doesn’t create any problems for me. It’s a traditional brush, as opposed to a silicone one, so it holds plenty of product for building up the lashes. The brush is quite big, but I like that as it’s great for getting a good hold and curling the lashes upward.IMG_9889The formula is known for being quite dry, but I love that as it is way easier to build volume. It drys quite quickly, so if you like to add more than one coat, it’s best to do it within the first minute otherwise it’s quite hard to comb through. It doesn’t clump or smudge, and it holds my lashes high all day.

Overall, I am really enjoying this mascara. It does what I need my mascara to do so I will definitely be re-purchasing.
